Reginald Frederick "Reg" Dalton

Reginald Frederick "Reg" Dalton – 72, of Lakewood Road, Kentville, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Edward and Flora (Hudgins) Dalton. During his working career, he had been employed at a variety of jobs and was somewhat of a "Jack of all Trades". In the music community, he was known as "Music Man" and entertained at many benefits. He favoured the guitar but also played the mandolin, mouth organ and harmonica. He is survived by five daughters, Flora Dalton, Waterville; Elizabeth (companion, Ken Newcombe), Halls Harbour; Helen (Douglas) Acker, Cambridge; Darlene (Lionel Deveau), Saulnierville; Lisa Amero, Digby; three sons, Reginald Jr., Waterville; Gerald Amero, Plympton; Robert Carey (Trish), New Minas; former wife, Brenda Keddy, Waterville; a sister, Goldie McGill, Wilmot; three brothers, Alfred (Helen), Grafton; Gerald (Mona), Canning; Roy (Leah), Black Rock; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; many, many friends. He was predeceased by his step-father, Lamont Saunders; a brother, Edward Dalton. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 in the East Black Rock Cemetery, Kings County, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. A reception will follow in the Black Rock Recreation Hall. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
