Eric Stanley Myles
1931-2017
Eric Stanley Myles – 86, of Avonport, Kings County, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born on February 6, 1931, in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Nathan and Dorothy (England) Myles. He is survived by his wife, Lorna (Hartt); children, Debbie (Glendon), Stephen, Karen (Mike), Heather (Kenny), Catherine, Geoffrey, Marilyn (Joe) and Sandy (Andy); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Ernie, Vernie and Gary; sisters, Jean Morine and Dorothy Kelly. He was predeceased by brothers, Donald, Stanley, Robert, Budd, Keith "Mickey" and Cecil; sisters, Betty and Hilda. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A service, officiated by Reverend Gary Manthorne, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 1021 Bluff Road, Avonport. This is the lighthouse property of his nephew, Raye Myles where he enjoyed many wonderful times camping, watching the sunsets and the breathtaking view of the Avon River and Minas Basin. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation – Carey Me Fund, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
