Linda Mae Dennis

Linda Mae Dennis – 65, of Kentville, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 in the QE II Health Sciences Centre - VG Site, Halifax. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late James and Effie (Atwell) (Dennis) Walsh. She spent some of her younger years in Ontario and later returned to the Annapolis Valley. She had been employed on various farms throughout the area. She enjoyed gardening, plants, making crafts, painting and ceramics. She loved animals.  She is survived by a son, Troy (Tammy) Barkhouse, Scott’s Bay; grandsons, Colton and Corey; a step-son, George (Mary-Ann) Saltzman; step-grandchildren, Ashley, Julia-Ann and Kori; four step great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Salsman, Kentville; Marion Watton (Jeff), Aylesford; Barbara (Rod) Potter, Scott’s Bay; Violet Graves (Steve), Picture Butte, Alberta; brothers, Carl (Marguerite), Coldbrook; Freamond, New Germany; David, Kentville; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Joyce; brothers, Johnnie, Maynard and Albert. There will no visitation by request. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Mike Veenema officiating. Burial will take place in the Scott’s Bay Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
