Virginia Louise Millett

Virginia Louise Millett – 62, of Kentville, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on February 11, 1955 in Wolfville, Kings County, she was a daughter of Marie (O’Hara), Cambridge and the late Lewis Thorpe. She had been employed in the housekeeping department of the Valley Regional Hospital, from where she retired. She enjoyed Friday Night Poker Night, Frenchy’s shopping with her sisters and close friends and her Tim Horton’s coffee. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. She is survived by her husband, Vance Millett; two daughters, Robin Millett, Kentville and Holly Millett, New Minas; a son, Graham (Denise) Fraser, Halifax; two sisters, Suzanna Thorpe, Somerset and Rosemary Simpson (Ralph Harroun), Coldbrook; two brothers, Stephen (Joanne), Black Rock and Lewis Jr. (Teena), Coldbrook; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brittany, Robert, Hanna, Evan and Zachary; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Jack Millett and Reginald Fraser; a common-law partner, Fred Currie and a sister, Carolyn. She was a kind and gentle lady who always put others first. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service and reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017. Burial will take place in East Halls Harbour Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
