Jacqueline Annette "Jackie" Stymest

Jacqueline "Jackie" Annette Stymest - 73, of Harmony, Kings County- passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville surrounded by her family. She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick on September 18, 1944 to Rose (LeBlanc) Landry, Moncton and the late Aimè Landry. She was the oldest of nine children and spent her school years in Moncton before settling in the Annapolis Valley to raise her family. Jackie led a full and busy life which was dedicated to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her love of camping with Jim at Belle Baie, Saturday morning yard sales and "Frenchy" shopping. Jackie was well known for her sewing talents and was a member of the Berwick Curling Club. She was humble and kind with a keen sense of humor. Jackie always put others above herself and was ready to help everyone. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was so proud of them. She enjoyed attending their many sporting events, dance recitals and graduations. In addition to her mother, she is survived by brothers - Paul, Raymond, Richard, sisters - Lucille, Phyllis, Denise and Francine; Jackie will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 55 years, James "Jim"; children - son, Rick Stymest (Janet), Weltons Corner; Debbie Pettet (John), Kentville and Michelle Rockwell, Grafton; grandchildren, Allison, Jillian, Joseph, Josh, Michael, Brette, Jordan and Chloe. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her brother, David, and son-in-law, Laurie Rockwell. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A memorial service and followed by reception will be held from 11:00 am, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Saint Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Berwick. Private burial will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
