Glenda Eileen Lockhart

Glenda Eileen Lockhart – August 18, 1944 – October 15, 2017. She lived the life she loved and loved the life she lived. Her every dream was fulfilled in her life; a happy marriage of 54 years, a large family and the gift of nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Glenda was happiest when she was doing for her family. Her mac & cheese was legendary and she loved keeping her children and grandchildren stocked up. Glenda was especially interested in local history and genealogy. She spent years collecting what she could of pictures and old post cards. She had traced the family tree back many, many generations. Surviving are husband Don; daughters, Shelley (Roger) Sampson, Windsor; Wendy Lockhart Purdy, Amherst; sons, Kris (Kelly), West Brooklyn; Jason (Nancy), Kentville; Jamie, Lockhartville; grandchildren, Josh (Amber) Sampson, Megan Sampson, Robin Purdy (Cody Firth), Allison Purdy (Mark Black), Jeff Purdy, Kameron and Tanner Lockhart, Gavyn and Carter Lockhart; great grandchildren, Logan Samspon, Scarlett Black, Stella and Cayson Firth and Finnley Stone; brother, Garnard (Phyllis) Harrington. She was predeceased by her parents, Blair and Doris (Mitchener) Harrington; brother, Donnie "Spit" Harrington. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Donations in memory may be made to the VON Annapolis Valley, IWK Health Centre Foundation - Neonatal Unit or Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
