Cecil Gordon Chase

Cecil Gordon Chase – 83, of Aylesford, Kings County, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his home at Lake George. He was surrounded by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis, his daughter, Teena and her partner, Mark, and their three Australian Terriers. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Gordon and Elsie (Powers) Chase. With his brother-in-law, Donald Bezanson, he developed, owned and operated the Bezanson and Chase Cranberry Company in Aylesford from 1967-1997. Upon his retirement, he moved to his dream home at Lake George. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Bezanson); a daughter, Dr. Teena Chase (Mark Helpard), Ottawa; a sister, Verna Robinson, Ottawa; a brother, Gerald Chase, Wolfville. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of Cecil’s life, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Eastern Kings Memorial Health Foundation - Palliative Care Program.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
