Julia "Judy" Patterson

Julia "Judy" Patterson – 80, of Kentville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Monday, December 18, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Miett) Dearing. Julia was a well loved mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by a daughter, Kim Patterson (Joe Isles), Kentville; a son, Terry, Ontario; two sisters, Jean Trudell and Louise Kirkwood, both of Ontario; a brother, Gideon, Ontario; four grandchildren, Meghan (Dustin) Keizer, Mitchell Boylan, Shane Patterson and Shalyn Patterson; two great granddaughters, Ella and Lila Keizer; numerous nieces and nephews; long-time friend, Glenys Harris. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; three sisters, Mary, Eliza and Carol; five brothers, Harry, Arthur, Robert, John and Mel; a foster granddaughter, Nikki Tait. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A private service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Valley Regional Hospital, especially nurses, Bev and Stacey. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
