Colin Alastair MacKinnon

Colin Alastair MacKinnon – 73, of Saulnierville, NS died peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on December 19, 2017. Colin was born in Halifax, NS on February 11, 1944. He grew up in New Minas, NS. Colin went to Horton High School, where he was a star athlete. He moved to Yarmouth, NS to work for CP Rail and spent 25 years with the railroad. He loved to tinker, fix and repair just about anything and he loved to shop. He was a sport enthusiast and loved both golf and hockey. Colin is survived by his three children, Marlo, Jener and Derek; their mother, Susan; six grandchildren; sister, Joy; brothers, Glen and Barry. He was predeceased by his parents Alastair and Mae MacKinnon. There will be no visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A brief reception will follow the service. Burial will be for immediate family only at the Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, Kings County, NS. Memorial donations may be made to the Jump Start Hockey Program, www.jumpstart.canadiantire.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
