Paul Hibbert Huntley

Paul Hibbert Huntley – 88, formerly of Scott’s Bay, Kings County, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Paul was employed with a number of farms in Scott’s Bay and retired as a carpenter. A very social person, he always looked forward to family gatherings, where he enjoyed the meals. He loved dogs and cats and playing Bingo with Brenda and other friends in Wolfville. He could often be seen travelling around New Minas on his scooter. We will miss his quick humour and will think of him whenever a fiddle starts to play. He is survived by two daughters, Janice (Blaine) MacBride, Pereaux; Debora "Deb" Huntley, Prince Rupert, BC; three sons, Edward (Lisa), Peter (Cheryl) and Frederick (Janice), all of Scott’s Bay; a sister, Isabelle Steele, Grand View Manor, Berwick; a sister-in-law, Irene Huntley, Scott’s Bay; a brother-in-law, Roderick Veinot, Halifax; five grandchildren, Megan MacBride, Laura MacBride, Chantel Huntley, Tanner Huntley and Clayton Wood-Huntley; a great grandson, Paul MacBride; many nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by family pets, Donk, Trigger and Wally. He was predeceased by his wife, Madeline (Veinot); five sisters, Minnie Fraser, Annette MacCumber, Lois McDonald, Pauline Price and Mable (in infancy); nine brothers, Charles, Stanley, Vernon, Glendon, Earle, Walter, including three brothers in infancy, Harold, Willis and Cyril. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating.
