Frederick James Misner
1937-2018
Frederick James Misner – 80, of Centreville, Kings County, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Chipman Brook, he was a son of the late Charles and Bertie (Gould) Misner. He became a licensed mechanic in 1963 and worked at various places for 25-plus years. He was a lover of cars and stock car racing and enjoyed bon fires by the ocean. He liked to fish, hunt and being around family. His true love was the ocean. He is survived by three sons, Brian (Libbie), Grande Prairie, AB; Bruce (Susan), Winnipeg; Brad (Amber), Grande Prairie, AB; a daughter, Karen (Mike) Misner-McCann, Grande Prairie, AB; four brothers, Percy, Lawrence, Ronald and Garnet; three sisters, Marguerite, Evelyn and Carolyn; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charlie and Frank; five sisters, Grace, Viola, Kathleen, Burlene and Vivian. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, Reverend Doctor Steven Hopper officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
