Frederick "Gerald" Mahaney

Frederick "Gerald" Mahaney – 80, of Kentville, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Frederick "Russell" and Inez (Lenihan) Mahaney. He had been employed with Canada Foods for many years. He enjoyed tinkering with small gas engines, watches and clocks. He is survived by his wife, Judy (Schofield); three sons, Darrell (Tracy), Allen and Stephen (Amanda), all of Kentville; two sisters, Judy (Tom) Keddy, New Minas and Linda Lonergan, Coldbrook; two brothers, Wayne (Dorothy) and Robert (Elsie), both of North Alton; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Mahaney, Blockhouse; a brother-in-law, Ralph Esposito, New York; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Esposito; a brother, George and a brother-in-law, Laverne Lonergan. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville and there will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
