Shirley Abigail "Gail" Herbin

Shirley Abigail "Gail" Herbin – 86, of Wolfville, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Smyth) Harvey. Gail was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her unconditional love and devotion to her family filled her life and her heart. She enjoyed her gardens, nature and cherished her walks on the dykes. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Wolfville, where she was active with the Choir, Sanctuary Guild and ACW. She is survived by two sons, Peter (Christine) and their children, Jennie, Alex and John; David (Vicki) and son, Ben; a daughter-in-law, Camille and her daughters, Jillian and Lorrie; a great-grandson, Dylan; three sisters, Nancy (Holman), Janet (Doust) and Gwen (Larsen). She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Herbin; a daughter, Pamela; a son, Frederic "Fred"; six siblings, Bob, Marg (Bancroft), John, Bill, Freda (Snoblen) and Art. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 in St. John’s Anglican Church, Wolfville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, Reverend Sandra Fyfe officiating. Burial will take place in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory may be made to St. John’s Anglican Church, Wolfville, L’Arche Homefires or the charity of your choice. Family flowers only. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
