Faye Hildred Alders

Faye Hildred Alders – 94, of Forest Home, Kings County, passed away suddenly, Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born and raised in Chester Grant, she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Viola (Hennigar) Walker. She then lived for many years in Forest Home. Faye was a loving and devoted mother of 11 children, who also worked very hard on the farm. She also worked outside of the home at various jobs, including Hostess Foods, M.W. Graves, Avon Foods and Canada Foods. She enjoyed dancing, playing darts and cards, kitchen parties, bingo, bowling, and cherished her family get-togethers. Faye was a gracious hostess who never let anyone leave without a tea, coffee or a bite to eat. She attended church for many years until she was unable to. A generous person, Faye had many friends, enjoyed visiting and was well-loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Marjorie Leopold, Russell (Marcia) Alders, Linda (Kenneth) Grant, Viola (Eric) McInnis, Marie (Robert) Hatfield, Audrey (Jack) Carter, Harriett (Wayne) Cox, Barb Alders (Rick Deveau), Donnie Alders and Ruby (Timmy) Welton; grandchildren, Terri Brown, Cheryl Rogers, Tammy Gregory, Russell Alders Jr., Debbie Alders-Lenihan, Dennis Alders, Patricia Alders, Kevin Grant, Jenifer Grant-Robar, Sally Parker, Gregory McInnis, Andrea McInnis, Angela McInnis, Christine Manning, Robbie Hatfield, Marcelle Carter, Maurica Millett, Melodye Hopper, Daniel Cox, Charmaine Cox, Dwayne Alders, Richelle Deveau-Alders, Trina Swan, Gillian Alders, Evan Alders, Nathalie Alders, Ashley Alders and Devon Welton; great grandchildren, Blake, Erin, Clayton, Russell, Katana, Nikita, Gage, Ellie, Ariana, Devon, Kyle, Jarrett, Joey, Tori, Michelle, Gillian, Mariah, Bradley, Maria, Rebecca, Harmony, Jonathon, Ava, Dominik, Caleb, Sydney and Sophie; great great grandchildren, Noah and Ireland. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Aalders; son, Harry Alders; three sisters, Thelma Hatt, Muriel Hatt and Marion Lenihan; two sisters in infancy, Beulah and Mildred; two brothers, Carroll Walker and Lloyd Walker; son-in-law, Freddie Leopold. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018, Pastors Jack and Audrey Carter officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
