Hartley Kempton Foote

Hartley Kempton Foote – 85, of Kentville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Lakeville, Kings County, he was a son of the late Robert and Wineva (Craig) Foote. Hartley had been employed as an accountant at several locations before working for many years at Evangeline Motors, Coldbrook, from where he retired. He was a long-time active member of Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, Aldershot, where he served in many capacities. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sylvia (Conrad); a daughter, Melanie Tracy, Moncton; two grandchildren, Hope and Max; a brother, Gardner Foote, Cambridge. He was predeceased by two sisters, Roberta Sawler and Wineva Porter. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Sarah Stevens officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
