Lemuel Charles "Lennie" Johnstone

Lemuel Charles "Lennie" Johnstone – 49, of Kentville, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of Margaret Johnstone, Kentville and the late Arnold Dill. He had been employed as a taxi driver for Valley Cab, later owning and operating MEL’s Taxi. He then drove and dispatched for M&G Cab. He loved hunting and fishing. He was a die-hard hockey fan and his favourite team was the Toronto Maple Leafs. He loved to tell jokes and enjoyed parties and making others laugh. He loved his family and his beloved cat, Sophie. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Johnstone; his son, Brent Sangster; sister, Pam Dill; brothers, Stephen Johnstone, Brian Dill and Trevor Dill; step-children, Missy Croft, John Croft and Kelsey Parker; grandchild, Morelle; nieces and nephews, Andrea Dominey, Andrew Johnstone, Brooke and Harmony Lombardo; Rob and Amelia Dill; great nieces and nephews, Paige, Ashliee, Zak, Brayden, Rhyder and Ella; several aunts and uncles. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by sister, Ella; brother, Dwayne Dill; nephews Lucas O’Hara and Ryan Dill. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
