Dorothy Amelia Foote

Dorothy Amelia Foote – 95, of Ross Corner, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Shannex-Orchard Court, Kentville. Born in Ross Corner, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Thorpe) Graves. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a life long resident of Ross Corner. She led an active, traditional life, working hard on the farm. She and Jerry enjoyed the benefits of the community life with family, friends and neighbours. She is survived by a daughter, Gertrude (Leo) Gargan, Halifax; four sons, Bradley "Brad" (Rosalie), Centreville; Wayne (Paulette), Ross Corner; Radford (Tracey), Ross Corner; Bev (Darlene), Somerset; a sister, Hazel Foster, Aylesford; grandchildren, Michael (Kimberley) Foote, Cheryl (Billy) Rhynard, Michael Clarke, Jennifer (Joseph) Royal, Matthew Clarke, Mason (Kathleen) Foote, Dominique Foote (Ethan Gerrits), Tyler Foote (Craig Pineo), Jason Foote, Justin Foote and Jeremy Foote; great grandchildren, Brawn, Colton, Reece, Makayla and Benjamin. She was predeceased by her husband, Jeremiah "Jerry"; four sisters, Frances, Marjorie, Pansy and Clara; two brothers, Luther and Bedford. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, Lucy Warren and Jennifer Comeau officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to The Fragile X Foundation of Canada or the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation.
