Jane Moira Fuller

1950-2018

Jane Moira Fuller

Age 68, of Coldbrook, passed away peacefully on Easter Monday, April 2, 2018. She is survived by her son, Nigel (Navpreet) Selig, Mumbai, India; daughter Julia (Michael) Spence (nee Selig), Victoria, BC; and four loving grandchildren (Leyla and Ania Selig; Ainsley and Islay Spence).

Fondly remembered by her former husband of over 30 years, Kevin, with whom she shared her children, as well as her four sisters (Alice; Carol; Nancy; Eleanor). Jane had a great love for children, animals and all things British. She was born on March 24, 1950 in Kentville to the late George Edward Burpee Fuller and Marguerite Kathleen Osborne. After being raised in Port Williams by her aunt, Mary (Allen) Jess, she proudly attended Acadia University before starting a teaching career that spanned almost 25 years at Centre and Hebbville Elementary Schools. Throughout her life, Jane was an active volunteer with several church and hospital organizations in Bridgewater, as well as a proud member of the I.O.D.E. "Nana Jane" is deeply missed by her children and granddaughters, whom she loved with all her heart. Jane is predeceased by a brother, Allen.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nursing and physiotherapy staff at the Valley Regional Hospital. Nigel and Julia are also forever indebted to Jane’s loving and loyal sisters who cared for her in their physical absence.

A funeral service, followed by reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Port Williams Baptist Church, Reverend Dr. Don Flowers and Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. Donations in Jane’s memory can be made to the Valley Regional Hospital, the Nova Scotia SPCA or any charity benefiting underprivileged children.
