F. Wayne Morgan

F. "Wayne" Morgan – 78, of Berwick, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 at home. Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Hirtle) (Emino) Morgan. He worked as an independent insurance adjustor, retiring after 56 years. He had been a former Bishop and Patriarch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, working and living in Truro, New Glasgow and Kentville. He also served in the Temple in Dartmouth. In his earlier years, he was involved in the Sea King Movement and organized a Cub Fun Day in Victoria Park, Truro. He served for several years as Chairman of the Apple Tree Foundation. Wayne was a much loved father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Yould); three daughters, Kathy (Lincoln) Gratto, Trenton; Susan (Ricky) Cowie, Waterville; Joanne (Dana) Morgan-Westall, Bedford; a son, Brian (Kim), Antigonish; a sister, Donna (Doug) Baird, Truro; 11 grandchildren, Holly, Jillian, Lori-Anne, Ashley, Meghan, Morgan, Jarod, Jason, Beth, Jesse and Molly; 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Belcher Street, Kentville, Bishop Donald Smith officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital – Carey Me Fund or the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
