Dorothy Lock

Dorothy Lock - 87, of Kentville, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late David and Dorothy Mae (Veinot) Forrest. Dorothy spent 20+ years as a quality control specialist at Moir's Chocolate, Halifax. Dorothy is survived by brother-in-law, Ted (Eileen) Lock; sister-in-law, Celia Forrest; nephews, Freeman Forrest Jr. (Kim Misner), their children, Tanner and Xander; Alan (Donna) Lock; nieces, Sherry (Danny) Sullivan, their children, Brett and Sean; Linda (Timothy) Walters-Findley, their children, Kaitlyn and Gareth; Jackie (Doug) Brownridge, their children Mark and Elissa; Janice and Linda Horseman. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Lock; companion, Don Davis; three sisters, Elizabeth, Agnes, and Bernice; three brothers, David (died overseas during the Second World War), Alex and Freeman. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County with Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
