Wilmot "Bill" Balloch Jr. Main

MAIN, Wilmot "Bill" Balloch, Jr. - born December 25, 1930 in St. John NB to Wilmot and Helen (Aldcroft) Main; died at home in Baxter’s Harbour on April 28, 2018, surrounded by his family.  Bill is survived by loving wife of 62 years, June Marie (Caldwell) Main, and his descendents: son Charles (Paula), their children William and Sarah; son Donald (Anna), her children Cassie (children Fletcher and Wyatt Peters) and Kody Peters; son Bradley (Peggy) Gale, his children Tiffany (Sean) Dietz (children Jenni and Maria Dietz) and Joshua; son Wilmot "Alan" (Brenda), their children Edward (Jenn) and Alice; son Andrew (Lori), their child Julia; and daughter Leona (Steve) and her children Travis and Jesse Den Englesen, as well as daughters-in-law Penny Hill and Karen MacLean.  He is survived by sisters-in-law Betty Main and Jean Main, and by brother-in-law Paul (Cindy) Caldwell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents, and by siblings Charles, Beatrice (Stanley) Bustin, and Robert. Bill worked for more than 40 years with the Bank of Montreal, and the family moved frequently in the early years throughout NB, NS and PEI.  The kids remember Shawville and Pointe Claire in QC, and St. Thomas, ON.  Upon retirement, he and June bought family acreage and moved back to Nova Scotia.  Bill was happiest with family and friends around him, and kept his wonderful sense of humour until the end. Bill was on renal dialysis for eight years, in Halifax and in Berwick, and was very grateful for the caring staff and fellow patients. Cremation has taken place, and a funeral is scheduled for Sunday May 6 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Anglican Church, Port Williams, Rev. Maya Bevan officiating.  Reception to follow.  Interment at Canard Burial Ground.  Online condolences may be made to ww.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada – NS Branch or to the Anglican Parish of Cornwallis.
