Sandra Faye "Sandy" Ivany

Sandra Faye "Sandy" Ivany – 67, of Lakeville, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Avon and Dorothy (Greenway) Kenny. She was employed in nursing at the former Blanchard Fraser Memorial Hospital, Kentville and then with the Annapolis Valley VON for 27 years, from where she retired. She was a 30-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch 6, Kentville. She is survived by her husband, Ambrose; two daughters, Tracey Parker, Kentville; Michelle Parker, Berwick; three step-children, Lisa (Chris) Carter, Stephenville, NL; Stephen (Natasha) Ivany and Crystal (Matthew) Hurley, both of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; three sisters, Catherine "Cathy" (James "Jim") Kinsman, Lakeville; Donna (Gregory) Campbell, Lakeville; Shelley (Peter) Hill, Lakeville; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kenny, Lakeville; granddaughter, Mackenzie Jacquard; step-grandchildren, Jonelle and Amber-Lynn Carter, Emily and Elaina Ivany, Isabelle, Carter, Lilian and Abbagail Hurley; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, William "Bill" and Bruce. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018. A private family burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Arthritis Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
