Gerald Bruce "Gerry" Frail - 85, of Centreville, Kings County, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre - Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building. Born in Centreville on October 3, 1932, he was a son of the late Wallace and Mabel (Isaac) Frail. Gerry was a kind man and lived his life to the fullest. He had a great sense of humor. He loved to tease and to tell stories of his childhood. We will all remember his laugh. Gerry grew up in Centreville until he joined the army. He met his wife, Linda in England while he was overseas. They moved back to Canada where they had their two children, Dale and Tina. They settled in Centreville in 1977 and built a house. Gardener Extraordinaire, he lived out his dream when he started Gerry’s Nursery and lived every moment happily among the plants and with his customers and staff who became beloved friends. He was known to be generous and would share his passion and wisdom of plants. He loved his family and friends, his pets and an occasion bottle of homemade wine. We will miss him deeply. He is survived by children, Dale and Tina Frail; beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew and Coral; siblings, Mack Frail and Rachel McDonald; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda; siblings, John, Mary, Mabel, Ron and Bob. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville with a Royal Canadian Legion Service to be held at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday May 20, 2018 in the Centreville Baptist Church, Centreville, Reverend Doctor Steven B. Hopper officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. A special mention to Joyce Brewster who worked tirelessly by his side and become "Part of the family"; Forest Huntley, who he enjoyed so many good times with and was a respected friend and Debbie MacInnis who looked after him and made him laugh during his last few years. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
