Donald James Pelton

Donald James Pelton - age 63 of Kentville formerly of Waterville passed away Saturday May 12, 2018 in the QE II Health Sciences Center, Halifax. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Jean (Vionett) Pelton. He was employed by maritime pride and Archibald farms for 48 years. He enjoyed collecting antique model cars and loved to attend the flea market. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Graves) Pelton; step children, Malcolm (Shannon) Corbin of Kentville; Earl (Melanie) Miles of New Minas and Kim (Kenny) Fredericks of Auburn; nine grandchildren, Kelsey, Kenneth, Kody, Cayla, Mary, Angela, Tyler, Amberlea and Bridget, three great grand children, Aubree, Brielle and Jaxson. Donald is also survived by a brother, Sterling (Sharon) Pelton of Waterville; sisters, Sharon (Russel) Bent of Waterville; Linda Haggerty of the Grand View Manor and Shirley Ritchie of Melvern Square; his mother-in-law, Bernice Graves of Woodville; several nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his brother, Albert Pelton; a sister, Louise Parent and a nephew, Bruce Pelton. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial will take place in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
