Shirley Edna Barkhouse

Shirley Edna Barkhouse - 83, of Wolfville, formerly Delhaven, passed away on June 19, 2018 at the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born in Bridgewater, NS on August 21, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Stephen Rhodenizer, Alice (Carver) and step-daughter of the late Lawson Croft. Shirley loved to knit and to cook but most of all, she loved playing bingo. She is survived by one son, Bernie, Delhaven; one daughter, Sheri (Lawrence) Stevens, New Minas; two sisters, Marjorie and Paulette; one brother, Ronald; step-granddaughter, Kristen; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Ziyaida. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilbert Alexander Barkhouse; one son, Randall; one sister, Grace; one brother, Harold Rhodenizer. Cremation has taken place. A public graveside ceremony will be held June 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Pereaux Cemetery. Donations may be made to Pereaux Baptist Church, Wolfville Nursing Home or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
