Keith Warren Hiltz

Keith Warren Hiltz – 71, of Greenwich, passed away at home, surrounded by family, on July 9, 2018. Born in The Forties, he was a son of the late Alfred and Violet (Corbin) Hiltz. Keith was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church and Valley Cursillo Movement. He was a well known self employed finish carpenter. Keith had also been employed with various contracting companies, including, Cornwallis Supplies and Topline Ventures. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, watching them grow, dance, play sports, cheering them on and being witness to their many achievements. His favourite hobby was coin collecting, as well as reading, watching movies, gardening and yard work, fishing and tinkering in his workshop. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary (Walker); a daughter, Andrea (Terry) Brown, Kentville; two grandchildren, Maria and Ryan; two brothers, Rae (Edith), Port Williams and Donald (Valerie), Cape Breton and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018, with prayers at 7:50 p.m., in the White Family Funeral Home Kentville.  The funeral service, followed by reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, in the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, Father John MacPherson officiating. Interment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Valley Hospice Foundation, Parkinson Society Maritime Region or charity of one’s choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to the palliative care team and the VON for their tremendous care and support. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
