Michael Earl Ettinger

Michael Earl Ettinger – 63, of North Alton, passed away suddenly on July 9, 2018, at home. Born on December 5, 1954 in Digby, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Roland "Pauss" and Mary "Pat" (Culligan) Ettinger. Mike attended Acadia University where he received a B.A. and B.Ed. He then worked at Michelin for 20+ years until his retirement.  Mike was very involved in sports, having played on multiple soft ball teams for Kentville. He loved the Detroit Red Wings. He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Ettinger, Kentville and her son, Pappy’s best friend, Ethan Horton; Lindsey (Jamie) Lowe, Kentville; significant other, Anne Tufts; siblings, Ab (Cindy), Orleans; Debbie Ettinger, Kingston; Karen (Carl) Hake, Kingston; David (June), Kentville; Lynn Ettinger (Tanya Hamilton), Kingston; step-daughter, Emily; nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Rachel, Shawn, Kari, Kristi, Melissa, Dylan and Holly. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of life will be held, with a reception to follow, on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to The Lung Association of Nova Scotia. Arrangements are entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
