Doris Eileen West

Doris Eileen West – 89, of Kentville, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. She was born in Cambridge, Kings County. Doris worked at several part-time jobs and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville, where she and her husband, Bill, enjoyed many Legion events. She also enjoyed jam sessions at the Meadowview Community Hall. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth West (Bill Rhynard), Kentville; Marylee (Roger) Isnor, Torbrook; two sons, Malcolm (Debbie), Greenwood; Fenwick; a sister, Hazel Wood, Wolfville Nursing Home; a brother, Gerald Keddy, New Minas; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill"; two daughters, Carol Ann Connelly and Jean Danells; a son, Brian; a sister, Pauline Dodge; a brother, Austin Keddy; a grandson, Jeremy Hillier. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2018 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. A reception will follow in the Meadowview Community Hall. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
