Frank Basil Turner – 85, of the Forties in New Ross, NS peacefully joined his Supreme Architect of the Universe on October 7, 2018. Frank was an avid outdoorsman who loved farming and working in the woods after retiring from carpenter work. He especially enjoyed working in the Christmas trees. Frank is the last surviving member of the Charles and Lena (Hiltz) Turner family. Frank is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann (Reeves); a daughter, Sarah (Jody MacDonald), River John and a son, Jachin (Robyn Johnston), Cole Harbor; grandchildren, Dustin and Aiden Bingley and Christine and Patrick Fawcett; father-in-law, Ashton Reeves; sisters-in-law, Muriel and Bertha Turner; brother-in-law, Haldon (Vienna) Reeves; chosen brother, Robert (Grace) Stevens and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by son, Charles Ashton; brothers, Archie (Florence), Edgar and Philson and sisters Birdie (Ralph Hughes) and Evelyn (Ernest Swinemar); mother-in-law, Shirley Reeves. There will be no visitation, by request. A combined Masonic and funeral service, followed by reception, will be held at the Forties Community Centre beginning at 2:30 p.m. on October 20, 2018, Rev. Rick Small officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the Forties United Baptist Cemetery 1016 Forties Road, New Ross, NS  B0J 2M0; Lunenburg County VON, Box 147, Blockhouse, NS  B0J 1E0; South Shore Health Palliative Care Services, 14 High Street, Lunenburg, NS  B0J 2C0; or any charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
