Sylvia Joyce Pulsifer

Sylvia Joyce Pulsifer of Kentville, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Lucy (Morine) Schofield. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Sylvia had a great love for children and dedicated her life to them. Over the years, she cared for several hundred children, whether it be through babysitting or fostering. She spent much of her time knitting and donated to the newborns at the hospitals. She also enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and cards. She is survived by daughters, Kimberlee (Douglas) Zwicker, Berwick; Darlene (Stephen) Weiss, Coldbrook; Kelly Pulsifer, Kentville; Danette (Dennis) Lantz, Kingston; Hillary Pulsifer (Mike), Alberta; sons, Donald Jr. (Linda), Bridgetown; Wayne, Virginia; Chris (Kim), Kentville; Alexander (Shelley), Centreville; Larry (Shannon), Coldbrook; grandchildren, Amanda, Tiffany, Austin, Emily, Dylan, Jennifer, John, Phillip, Richard, Michael, Nathan, Daniel, Gregory, Brandan, Sean, Andrew, Kylie, Trevor and Carson; great grandchildren, Lexi, Aliza, Connor, Jack, Noah, Abigail, Ethan, James, Lyla, Liam, Aaden, Joseph, Gabriel, Esmae, Lily, Alice and Grace; nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Simon. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; daughter, Valerie; grandson, Patrick; daughter-in-law, Eileen; several brothers and sisters. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation and a private service for immediate family will take place at a later date. Burial will take place in the Willow Bank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory may be made to the IWK Health Foundation or any children’s charity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
