Marilyn Mary Millett

1942-2019

Marilyn Mary Millett

Marilyn Mary Millett – 77, of Mahone Bay, passed away suddenly on April 29, 2019. Born in Yarmouth, NS on March 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Harry Shaw and Evelyn (Manthorne) Shaw Creaser. She had numerous jobs over the years and took a lot of paths throughout. Mother had taken great pride in clicking those knitting needles for her children and grandchildren. Mom you may put those hard working hands to rest. We will cherish those gifts as we have a little piece of you. Closest to mom’s heart was family and friends, and the best gift you could ever give her was your time. Her home was always open; she had this way of making you feel appreciated and leaving a comfortable impression. She has truly touched so many with her ability to turn any dull moment into a time of laughter or great embarrassment. She was known for her loving hugs for anyone who was lucky enough to receive them. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving spirit. How blessed we were to have this beautiful soul in our lives to call Hunnybun, Mom, Sister, Aunt, Nanny, Great Nanny, friend. We leave her in the tender loving care of loved ones and friends who went before her. She is survived by her partner, Donald Oakes, Mahone Bay; daughters, Wendy (George Gould), Nictaux; Debbie (Mark Knickle), Middle Cornwall; Tina (Jim Melvin), Port Williams; Renita Reid (Terry Chapman), North Grand Pre; step-son, Kevin Oakes (Lillian), Dartmouth; daughter-in-law, Pamela Woodman, Alberta; grandchildren, Robyn Llewellyn, Shaun McGill, Erin Sherman, Matthew Sherman, Melanie Melvin, Jennifer Melvin, Vanessa King, Michael Reid, Connor Reid, Logan Rhynold, Breton Pudsey; step grandchildren, Marcus Knickle, Craig and Logan Oakes; great grandchildren, Celiegh, Christopher, Maggie, Keirsten, Jace, Braydn, Hadley, Emma, Zachary, Austin, Peyton, Callie, Brier, Brooklynn, Cali, Nova-Leigh; step great grandchildren, Claire, Taylor, Aubrey;  sisters, Flora Reeves (Rupert) Cambridge; Joanne Whynot (Gregory), West Lahave; many nieces and nephews.
