Susan Iwilda Schofield

Susan Iwilda Schofield - age 59, of New Minas, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at home. Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Freda (Pinch) Schofield. Susan thoroughly enjoyed running her own business, "Just Like Mom’s", providing home baked goods and catering for the general public and many local businesses. She is survived by her sons, Bryan, Milton, Ontario; Kyle, Toronto; sisters, Connie Somers, Murray River, PEI; Lena Schofield, White Rock; brothers, Darrin, Sarnia, Ontario; Bruce, Nova Scotia; niece, Angela; nephews, Evan, Owen, Warren; great nieces, Elizabeth and Emily. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Brian. Cremation has taken place.  There will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Susan Matthews and Dr. Lazaric, as well as the health care professionals involved in Susan’s care for their compassion and many acts of kindness. A special thank you to close friend and relative, Jim Pinch, for his support and friendship throughout the years. Donations in memory may be made to the New Minas Lions Club or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
