Judith Eileen "Judy" Sherrard
December 23, 1946 – June 7, 2019
Judy passed away peacefully in the Valley Regional Hospital ICU with her son, Rob, by her side. Born in Kentville, NS, Judy was the oldest daughter of the late Earl and M. Eileen (Schofield) Keddy. A life-long resident of the Annapolis Valley, Judy was employed as a Personal Care Worker and volunteered for a variety of organizations over the years. She loved searching for great finds at Frenchy’s and yard sales, singing karaoke, and catching up on the latest news at Tim Horton’s with her many friends. Judy had a great sense of humour and was always able to make people laugh with her quick wit and funny stories. She was a very proud Nanny to her two grandsons, who will remember her for the cards she always sent to them for every occasion, from Christmas to ‘grading’ each June. She is survived by her son, Rob, his wife, Lori Porter, and their two sons, Jamie and Owen; a sister, Cindy; younger brother, Rick; and her long-time companion, Jim Flood. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Cecil (Sonny), and Ron, and her daughter, Rosalyn, a tragic loss from which she never fully recovered. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service, by request. A private graveside service will held at a later date, at which time Judy will join her beloved daughter, Rosalyn. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Valley Regional Hospital ICU team, who worked tirelessly to provide Judy with compassionate and respectful care right up until her final moments. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
