Ernest Levi Robinson
Ernest Levi Robinson - age 99, of Canning, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at home. Born in East Village, Colchester County, he was a son of the late James Olie and Elsie (Roblee) Robinson. Ernest had enjoyed retirement for many years, he spent his time gardening, traveling and visiting with loved ones. He was also a dedicated member of the Baptist Church, and had spent many years volunteering at the Fidelis House. He was employed with Department of Fisheries and Oceans for many years, stationed in Coldbrook, NS, Mactaquac, NB, St. John, NB, Grand Lake, NS and Lake George, NS. He was also a veteran of the Second World War. He is survived by his wife, Gerene (Croft) Robinson; sons, Gerald (Ellen), Deerfield; Keith (Jennifer Dekort), Edmonton, Alberta; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Robinson, Canning; grandchildren, Paul Robinson, Sonya Robinson, Shianne Robinson, Vanessa Robinson, Kelly Robinson (Andy Reynolds), Emily Robinson; great-grandchildren, Sarah Robinson, Clayton and Matthew Romkey, Conner, Glen, Maggie, Kate and Kuran Robinson; great great-grandsons, Tyler Comeau and Spencer Robinson; sister, Laura MacKinnon, Debert. He was predeceased by his first wife, Hazel (Sollows) Robinson; grandson, James "Jimmy" Robinson; great-grandson, Justin Goreham; sisters, Muriel Spencer, Jean Patriquin, Louise Wedge; brothers, James "Whitman" Robinson, Aubrey Robinson; nieces, Elsie Debay and Nancy Sanford. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by reception, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, the Reverend Phil Locke officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Canning Baptist Church, the Valley Regional Hospital or a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
