Mary Valerie Lamrock

Mary Valerie Lamrock - age 70, of New Minas, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Shelburne, she was a daughter of the late George and Nettie Lou (Eva) Lamrock. Mary held a number of different positions, including fish plant employee and Kentucky Fried Chicken. She also held various positions within the Lions Club. She liked going to the Exhibition every year and loved being outside in the fresh air and coffee. She is survived by two sons, David (Joanne) Swaine and Steven Swim; three daughters, Linda (Ron) Lloyd; Brenda Kane (common-law, Mike Thomson) and Shirley (John) Swaine-Jean; grandchildren, Tim Hunt (Chelce), Trenton, Michael, Brandon, Deverick and Jeffrey; three brothers, Ernest, George and Bobby; three sisters, Diane, Rita and Linda; aunts, Hazel and Liz; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Anne Lamrock. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Lions Club in Shelburne. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
