Mr. Harold Morley Brown
1919-2010
Harold Morley Brown - 91, of Greenwich, Kings County, Nova Scotia,
passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Stouffville, Ontario, he was the only
son of Morley and Gertrude (Kendrick) Brown. He was a veteran of the
Second World War, having served as a Lieutenant in the RCNVR. In the
years following his naval service, he continued to have a strong love
of the sea and an interest in naval history. He maintained
memberships in the Royal Canadian Military Institute and the Naval
Officers Association of Canada for many years. He had a long and
successful business career as a manufacturers’ agent. A
wonderful family man, Harold was a loving husband, father and
grandfather. He is survived by his wife, the former Ada Payne; two
sons, Gregory and Christopher (Gail); two granddaughters, Brittany and
Morgan. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White
Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. At
Harold’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral
service. A private family graveside service will be held at a later
date in the Berwick Cemetery. Donations in memory can be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
