Nicole Jane "Nikki" Tait

Nicole Jane “Nikki” Tait - 22, of Fredericton, New Brunswick and Tupper Lake, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in Halls Harbour, Kings County as the result of an accident. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she was a daughter of Scott Tait, Ontario and the late Rose Marie (Stewart) Tait. She had been employed surveying trees for Spectrum Limited in British Columbia and was studying Forestry at U.N.B. in Fredericton. She enjoyed nature, the woods and being outdoors, especially hiking, fishing, camping and four-wheeling. She also enjoyed music and her family and friends. She will also be fondly missed by her four-legged companion, Gypsy Rose. She is survived by a sister, Jodi, Kentville; foster parents, Garth Dearman and Kim Patterson, Tupper Lake; maternal grandmother, Elsie MacDonald, Kentville; paternal grandparents, David and Dorothy Tait, Ontario; foster siblings, Meghan Boylan and Mitchell Boylan, both of Kentville. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by a sister, Sara; her maternal grandfather, Ronald Stewart. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010, Reverend Virginia DeAdder officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Kings County S.P.C.A. or the Halls Harbour Volunteer Fire Department. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
