Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I went to school with Gordie and was witness to many antics by Brad and Gordie and always had a good chuckle. He has been taken too soon but leaves behind many precious memories you will carry in your hearts forever.

Dear Spinney Family: My sincerest condolences to all the Spinney family on the loss of Gordy so young. As I read "avid junk collector" it made me smile and remember that long, dusty road on a hot summer day between Grammie Long's house and the Spinney house. It was always an adventure and fun to visit Leo & Cookie's house. Daddy was always intreged by Leo's treasures, and so Gordy kept up the "family tradition" of "treasure collecting". I bet his collection was just as interesting as his Dad's.

Rick and I were so sorry to hear of Gordie's illness and passing. It is very difficult to watch a loved one go through cancer treatments knowing that is just buying you a little time. We know you were all very strong and stood beside him through this ordeal. Marie, we are so proud of your strength and the way you drove him to Halifax for treatments and stayed by his side. Have no regrets and do your best to remember the good times and hold on to those memories. You will see his spirit in your children and grandchildren. That is how we all live on!
With deepest sympathy, Lynda and Rick

We were so sorry to learn of Gordie's passing. It is good that his treatments gave him and all of you a little time together. We know how hard it is to watch a loved one struggle through cancer treatments. Our wish is that memories of happier times will hold Gordie close to your heart. Be comforted in knowing that he and Velma are now together. With deepest sympathy, Rick and Lynda
