Donalda Marie
"Donna" Morrison - 77, formerly of New Minas, passed away
Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in
Wentworth, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Viola (Flynn)
Young. She had been employed as a waitress and a nurse’s
aide. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal
Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville and a member of the
Minas 50 Plus Seniors Club, New Minas. She is survived by a daughter,
Krista (Samuel Johnstone) (Greg Varner), Bridgewater; six sons,
Michael (Andrea), Kentville; Bradley (Karen), St. Thomas, Ontario;
Randy (Carol), Bolton, Ontario; Stephen, New Minas; Colin
"Robbie" (Kitti), Kentville; Jeff (Jennifer), Montenay,
British Columbia; three sisters, Gloria (Leslie) Boyd, Windsor;
Beverly Macumber, Manitoba; Valerie "Vicki" (Brian)
Blenkhorn, New Minas; two brothers, David (Joyce), Windsor; Douglas
(Ella), Avonport; 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren;
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Osborne
"Ozzie" Morrison; five sisters, Eva, Joan, Kathleen, Sandra
and Colleen; two brothers, Gerald and Frank. Visitation will be held
from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 with a Royal Canadian
Legion Ladies Auxiliary service to be held at 7:00 p.m., all in the
White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service,
followed by a reception, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 16,
2012, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place in
the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to
the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Funeral arrangements have
been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.

Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Aunt Donnie is now with Uncle Ozzie and mom, enjoying watching over us. She was so special to me and will always have a place in my heart. I am so glad that I was able to see her at the first of the month. And she knew who I was... I got my hugs and kisses from her like always and she told me that she loved me. I found comfort in the hope the Bible offers for our loved ones at Psalms 37:29 which says, "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."
We are assured by God in His Word the Bible, that after the earth is oleansed of current troubled conditions, it will be restored to a paradise like the Garden of Eden as He originally purposed. Then our loved ones can return to life on earth (by resurrection) in good health.(Isaiah 33:24)
Then there will be no more sorrow or pain as we are promised at Revelation 21:4. It reads, "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
