Please accept my condolences on your loss. I found comfort in the hope expressed in the Bible for our loved ones at Psalms 37:29 which says, "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it." We are assured by God in His Word the Bible, that after the earth is cleansed of current troubled conditions, it will be restored to a paradise like the Garden of Eden as He originally purposed. Then our loved ones can return to life on earth (by resurrection) in good health.(Isaiah 33:24) Then there will be no more sorrow or pain as we are promised at Revelation 21:4. It reads, "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." I hope these words will bring you a measure of solace in your time of loss.

To Pat and family, I think I first met Paul as a young air cadet, one of the first female cadets. He was serving as a lion then, quietly supporting the activities. Many years later, I was re-introduced to Paul and then yourself as my husband Tom became a lion and I attended some functions with him. Then I too, became a lion and served with Paul in various capacities -- from pancake and sausage breakfasts to the board room planning. Always, always, Paul was courteous. He would stop to listen with respect no matter what. (Mind you he controlled the sausage production like an army cook!) But Paul was a supportive lion, he supported those around him, asked thoughtful questions and persisted in showing support for the activity of the day, including challenging questions for the board members if needed. Lion Paul was an exemplar for me and for our club of what lionism is at its best - service. Each meeting he recited the motto along with his fellow lions: Never above you, never beneath you, always with you. We are better for having known him. God bless you and your family at this difficult time, Pat. Sincerely, Lion Peggy LeBlanc
