Condolences

I was saddened to read Mr.Fedora's obituary in today's paper. He was an English teacher to me in my teens. He was a compassionate, caring, encouraging teacher to me, at a time in my life when I needed it most. So sorry for your loss.
— Heather (Harvie) Voegeli

Grant has been a great friend since childhood. I was with him the night he made his first visit to a tavern-the legal age was 21 then- and he was asked for his id (he looked a lot younger than the rest of us). He easily shared his humor/wisdom and cared deeply for others. I'll try and get to the service for a personal "goodbye". If not-condolences and god bless to his family/close friends.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. You may be comforted by the Bible's hope for our loved ones at Psalms 37:29 which says, "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it." We are assured in God's Word the Bible, that after the earth is cleansed of current troubled conditions, it will be restored to a paradise like the Garden of Eden (God's original purpose for the earth). Then our loved ones can return to life on earth in good health. (Isaiah 33:24) Then there will be no more sorrow or pain as we are promised at Revelation 21:4. It reads, "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore..." I hope these words will bring you a measure of solace in your time of loss.

So very sorry to hear about Grant. It was a pleasure to have worked with him for many years at Landmark East. I will always remember him as a dedicated, hardworking and respected professional and friend.

It is with profound sadness that I learned about the passing of Grant. As a beginner teacher, I entered Landmark East School and began working with Grant and others in the late summer of 1991. Although everyone was helpful, Grant was among two senior instructors that had a tremendous impact on myself as a teacher and a person. He and I shared similar tastes in music and talked about music at length. Grant likely did not know it, but I became his "wingman" watching everything he did while maintaining his calm demeanor and professionalism. In his own quiet way, he was the very heart and soul of Landmark East School, and treated everyone he knew with the highest regard. I also observed how hard he worked at any task he undertook and noted during my five year tenure that he was an important "go-to" person for school administration. Grant is among those very few individuals that I have met that I not only measure myself as a professional teacher but as a human being. What is most unfortunate is that I did not get a chance to tell him this. The world need more P. "Grant" Fedoras and it is a little less of a place now that we are without him. May he rest in eternal peace. ------Greg Nauss

I was so very sorry to learn of Grant's passing. I was a classmate from the very first days of school in Sydney River, and all through the years at Riverview, with both Grant and his cousin Carol. My sincere sympathies to his family. Please know that I am thinking of you at this difficult time. Joyce MacRae-Dauphinee
