Aubrey Malcolm Williams - 86, formerly of Kentville, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 in Villa Acadienne, Meteghan. Born in the family homestead on Exhibition Street in Kentville, he was a son of the late Edward and Lena Pauline (Barry) Williams. He was a lifelong resident of Kentville and was employed at various locations, including the W. C. Hiltz Funeral Home and the Harold Reeves Salvage Yard. Aubrey was fond of animals, Pepsi and loved a good chocolate bar. He is survived by daughters, Brenda (Seamus Hattie), Yarmouth; Glenda (David Martin), New Minas; Marina Gillis, Richmond Hill, Ontario; sons, Bedford, Edmonton, Alberta; Aubrey Jr., Yarmouth; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by two sons, Stuart and Thomas; a great grandson, Justin Morine; sisters, Catherine Bent, Jane Corkum and Lillian Urquhart; a brother, Herbert. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012, Reverend Thelma McLeod officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to your local food bank. The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the care shown to Aubrey by the staff at Villa Acadienne.
