Muriel Irene Thompson

Muriel Irene Thompson - 83, of Lower Sackville, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Centreville, Digby County, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Georgie (Hersey) Thompson. She had been employed as a nurse. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (David) Confiant, Lower Sackville; Monica (Leon) Brewster, Baxter’s Harbour; two sons, Eric "Bubby" (Christine) Johnson, Ontario; David (Susan) Johnson, Peterborough, Ontario; two step-daughters, Laurie Raynor; Desiree (Ron Clark) Woolacott, Peterborough; three sisters, Marie Lightfoot, Yvonne Wedge and Dolly Peters; a brother, Harold Thompson, 10 grandchildren, Cherie, Michael, Joy, Christopher, Eric, Charlie, Stephanie, Amber, Jason and Bryan; numerous great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her former husband, Albert Johnson; a brother, George Thompson. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Union Burial Cemetery, Centreville, Digby County. Donations in memory may be made to the Union Burial Cemetery, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
