Linda Diane de Graaf - 53, of Canard, Kings County, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, after many years of health problems. She was a very crafty person who loved doing things like baking fancy cakes, photography, or beautiful paintings of ships and animals. She is survived by her parents, Marilyn and Bill Garber, Cheverie, Hants County; her husband, Kees; daughter, Amanda Freeman, Kentville; son, Stephen Freeman, Bridgewater; step-sons, Michael (Janis), Windsor; Jerry (Michelle), Kentville; Gregory and Jason (Tammy), both of Canning; sister, Sandy (Jim) Covert, Bridgewater; brothers, Dave and Carl (Charlene), both of Moncton; many grandchildren, especially Amaya and Italy, who were a special joy to her heart; her very special friend, Stephanie Dunham, Steam Mill, who was there for her for many years; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth, of Saxon Street, who she thought the world of. She was predeceased by an infant son, Trevor. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Father Gerald Saulnier officiating. Burial will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ridge Road, Wolfville. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
