Gary Wayne Cotter

Gary Wayne Cotter - 65, of Black Rock, Kings County, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halls Harbour, Kings County, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Jess) Cotter. He had been employed with Larsen's for 35 years and was an avid horse and vehicle trader. He played the guitar and had a love for playing and singing country music. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Moore); three daughters, Julie Cotter, Aylesford; Peggy Cotter (Nelson Peterson), Black Rock; Maryann (Michael) Dunham, Burlington; a son, Gary Cotter (Jessica Burns), Black Rock; a sister, Laura (Alexander "Sandy") Middleton, Mount Uniacke; seven grandchildren, Jessie, Brad, Branden, Ashley, Makayla, James and Sophie; his mother-in-law, Catherine Moore, Steam Mill; several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Cotter and Debbie Morse. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 24, 2013, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial will take place in the East Black Rock Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Lung Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
