Marjorie "Elaine" Grant

Marjorie "Elaine" Grant - formerly of Coldbrook, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in North Sydney, she was the only child of the late William and Marjorie (Andrew) MacQuarrie. A Registered Nurse, Elaine trained at the IWK Hospital, where she was employed as a Nursing Supervisor for 15 years. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Evangeline Chapter, Kentville, as well as the Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by her husband, E. Guilford "Gil" Grant; a daughter, Judith Elaine Grant (Tim Young), Welland, Ontario; a son, RCMP Inspector Stephen (Faye) Grant, Edmonton, Alberta; a granddaughter, Nora Alannah; five grandsons, Matthew, Brandon, Chris, Sean and Joshua; one great granddaughter, Annabelle. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 with an Order of the Eastern Star service to be held at 7:00 p.m. in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Cathy Pharo officiating. Burial will take place in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Parish of St. James, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the IWK Health Care Foundation, Philae Temple or St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
