Wayne Ralph Sanford

With heavy hearts, the Sanford family announces the sudden passing of Wayne Ralph Sanford of Mt. Denson, age 65, on March 30, 2014. He is survived by his mother, Elaine Sanford; sisters, Maureen (Wayne) Coffill and Linda (Ray) Gibson; wife, Linda; sons, Daniel (Lisa) and Jason (Jenna) and grandchildren, special granddaughter, Madison, and Lincoln; stepdaughter, Susan Doyle and grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Natasha, Michael, Mikayla, and Emma; sister-in-law, Georgina Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his father, Maurice "Bud" Sanford. Wayne’s favourite place to be was his hand-built camp in the Annapolis County area. There he would fish, commune with nature and occasionally spend time with close friends. He was passionate about trains, due in part to his past career with CP and CN Rail. He enjoyed watching nature documentaries and spending time with his grandchildren, Madison and Lincoln.  He also was an avid watcher of the Weather Network, the topic of weather being important to him. He was a long-time friend of Bill W. and helped many people through their journey. Cremation has taken place; ashes to be scattered at a later date. At Wayne’s request, there will be no service. Donations on his behalf may be made to the War Amps of Canada or Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. His spirit lives on through his children and grandchildren, and in the fond memories of his wife, loved ones, camp buddies and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line inquires may be directed to www.whitefamilyfuneralhome.com.
