Lisa Ann  Baker-Petrie

Lisa Ann Baker-Petrie - 43, of Halls Harbour, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of Janice Ann Cleaves, Annapolis and James Baker, Bridgetown. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter and friend. She received her education in Annapolis and was currently taking a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Acadia University. Lisa was employed with the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services in Kentville. She enjoyed playing volleyball and her love for travel always seemed to draw her to the ocean. Lisa was one of our greatest treasures and was loved by all who knew her. She was passionate about family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, J. Todd Petrie; daughter, Marin; brother, Larry Cleaves (Katherine), Dartmouth; half siblings, Jason Baker, Bridgetown and Jennifer Baker, Bear River; step father, Bev Cleaves, Annapolis; mother-in-law, Pam Petrie (Perry Wallace), Halls Harbour; brothers-in-law, D. Matthew (Michelle) Petrie, Northville and James Stacey, Cambridge; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and many friends. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Bill Hale officiating. A private family interment will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. It was Lisa's wish that donations in her memory be made to the Marin Petrie Education Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
