Edgar Phillip Corbin

Edgar Phillip Corbin - 79, of Kentville, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at home. Born in Kentville, Kings County, he was a son of the late George and Alma (Acker) Corbin. Edgar worked at the Miller Hospital from where he retired. He was a former member of the Kentville Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by three daughters, Sandi Corbin (Frank Mansfield), Kentville; Joan (Perry) Moors, Centreville; June (Michael) Coleman, Steam Mill; two sons, Phillip (Julie) Corbin, Kingston; David (Debbie) Corbin, Kentville; three sisters, Evelyn Bush, Orillia, Ontario; Florence Doucette, Oromocto, New Brunswick; Catherine Hare, Halifax; six brothers, Eugene, Orillia, Ontario; Vincent, Alberta; Gerald (Ethel), Sheffield Mills; Sidney, Kentville; Ernest (Velma), Kentville; Gary (Penny), Kentville; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Annie (Powell); a sister, Mary Johnstone; a brother, George. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Reverend Marc Potvin officiating. No flowers, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or the IWK Health Centre. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
