Margaret Elizabeth Buchanan-Bishop

Margaret Elizabeth Buchanan-Bishop - 73, of New Minas, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at home. Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late George and Mida (Thompson) Conley. She had been employed with Hostess Frito-Lay for many years, from where she retired. She enjoyed various crafts, especially quilting and knitting. She is survived by her second husband, Frank Bishop; a daughter, Nancy (Michael) Zboyovsky, British Columbia; two sons, Terry, White Rock and Kenny (Donna Schofield), Kentville; a sister, Dorothy Burgess (Don), Falmouth; four grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlyn, Jacob and Alex. She was predeceased by her first husband, Richard "Dick" Buchanan and a brother, Lewis. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by family request. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Wayne Fevens officiating. Burial will take place in the Lower Horton Cemetery, Grand Pré, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
